- About me | Christina Dengg
About me Christina - a nutritionist through and through Hello, I'm Christina, a passionate nutritionist. Training I completed my masters degree in nutritional sciences with distinction. Through various jobs in areas such as weight loss coaching, vegan nutrition and dietary supplements, I have gained a lot of practical experience for my consultations. I am also studying psychology at the University of Vienna, as I am fascinated by the connection between psychology and nutrition. That also helps me to see nutrition and diet changes in a larger context. Interests and Values I love sports, I teach poledance and participate in competitions. Sports nutrition is, therefore, one of my areas of expertise . I see health and nutrition in a holistic context that also includes, for example, the ecological and ethical aspects of nutrition and the psychology of eating. I also like to cook, and I am particularly interested in the vegan cuisine. Science as a Basis I am aware that there is a lot of - sometimes contradicting - information about nutrition. It has always been important to me to really get to the bottom of things and to deal intensively with the scientific evidence behind nutrition. I want to pass this knowledge on in an understandable way. My Goal I want to help people with my nutritional and psychological knowledge to set, implement and maintain their nutrition and health goals. I also want to pass on my knowledge and support people in making healthy decisions with great joy. - Measurement of Body Composition | Christina Dengg
Bio-Electrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) Measure body composition The bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) is a precise and scientifically based method to measure the body composition (muscle, fat, water). The measurement is done lying down by determining the resistance in the body using alternating current. The electricity required cannot be felt and is absolutely harmless. However, BIA measurements are not suitable for pregnant women and people with a pacemaker. Weight = muscle or fat? The BMI cannot differentiate between muscle and fat tissue. A BIA measurement shows exactly what the bodyweight is composed of. Important health values A BIA measurement reveals important health parameters such as water balance or phase angle. Success control Do you want to build muscle? Or lose fat? BIA measurements are ideal for monitoring the success of your individual goals. What is measured? Body fat in % Body fat mass Fat mass and fat-free mass Muscle mass Total body water Extracellular and intracellular water ECW / TBW ratio Body mass index Determination of physique Basal metabolic rate in kcal Phase angle Body fat distribution Reactance / resistance Example BIA measurement woman Book an appointment now:

- Nutrition in Different Stages of Life | Christina Dengg
Nutrition in Different Stages of Life Pregnancy, breastfeeding, childhood or old age - the nutritional requirements and eating habits differ in different phases of life. Diet during pregnancy and breastfeeding The energy need and the requirement for certain vitamins and minerals differ considerably from the requirement before pregnancy. The choice of food and thus the composition of nutrients should be considered carefully during pregnancy in order to ensure optimal care for mother and child. It is also very important to select dietary supplements in a targeted and careful manner. Diet in Childhood and Adolescence A balanced diet in childhood and adolescence is an essential building block for growth, development, health, physical and mental performance. It has a considerable influence on nutritional behavior and the development of diseases in adulthood. When it comes to eating and drinking, children and adolescents have different needs and eating habits than adults. Adults, especially parents, have an important role model function when it comes to eating and can greatly influence the eating habits of children and adolescents. Diet in older adulthood A healthy lifestyle not only allows us to live longer but also with fewer restrictions and illnesses. Diet can have a major impact on the aging process. The energy demand decreases with age while the nutritional requirement remains. This and many other aspects, such as physiological changes, decreasing appetite, side effects of medication, etc., contribute to the fact that it can be difficult to eat appropriately in older adulthood. Nutrient-rich foods and the targeted use of supplements can contribute significantly to better health and quality of life in older adulthood. Especially in sensitive phases of life, we can have a strong influence on well-being, our health and quality of life with a balanced diet adjusted to our individual needs. I want to help you achieve a better life quality through a diet tailored to your needs or lay the foundation for your child's health and healthy eating behavior later in life.
- Sports Nutrition | Christina Dengg
Sports Nutrition Competitive and professional sports Competitive and professional sports place high demands on the body. The energy and nutrient supply must be optimized in order to avoid deficiencies and to promote performance. An optimized diet can help you regenerate more quickly and achieve new personal bests. A well-planned diet is also an essential component of competition preparation. Muscle building and improvements in endurance An optimized diet also allows amateur athletes to enhance their performance. Furthermore, it supports muscle building in weight training and improves endurance performance. Own experience and successes I also deal intensively with sports nutrition for personal reasons. As a pole dancer who also teaches this sport and takes part in competitions, I know what a great influence an adequate diet can have on performance in sports. Whether it's preparation for a competition, faster regeneration, better performance in endurance sports, or building muscle - I will support you in achieving your optimum. (c) Pixabay
- Sustainable Diet Change | Christina Dengg
Long-term Diet Change Long-term changes Knowing what to eat is one thing. But integrating this into everyday life is very difficult for most people. I will support you intensively with your transition and help you to achieve and maintain your individual goals. Your personal story A successful change in diet requires so much more than just nutritional knowledge. We don't just eat to survive. Social aspects, psychological aspects, habits, cultural ideas, upbringing, etc., have a great influence on what we eat, how we eat, why we eat and when we eat. What a person is eating right now is just part of a long story. I'll watch your personal story with you. This holistic view helps you achieve a long-term change in diet, in a healthful way, and most importantly with joy. Psychology In order to help you with a long-term, healthy diet change, I refer not only to the current state of research in nutritional sciences but also to current psychological theories and findings. Everyone is unique and, if they want to make a lifestyle change, a holistic view that also includes psychological aspects is needed.
